1. What the legal guarantee is
The legal guarantee of conformity protects the consumer when the purchased good presents a lack of conformity. It is provided for by arts. 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005, as amended in implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/771) and lasts 24 months from the delivery of the good.
2. What it covers
The good must conform to the contract: correspond to the description, possess the qualities and performance usual for a good of the same type, and be fit for the purpose for which it is intended. If a lack of conformity emerges within the term, you are entitled to the statutory remedies.
3. Your remedies
- in the first instance, repair or replacement of the good, at no cost to you;
- on a subordinate basis (if the first remedies are impossible or excessively burdensome, or do not resolve the issue), a price reduction or termination of the contract with a refund.
4. How to enforce it
Report the defect through Support or by writing to info@lookonyou.com, indicating the order number and describing the problem (attach photos if possible). The seller of the product — indicated on every listing as "Sold and shipped by …" — is responsible for the legal guarantee; LookOnYou assists you and mediates in the handling of the request.
5. Relationship with withdrawal and any manufacturer guarantees
The legal guarantee is distinct from the right of withdrawal (change of mind within 14 days) and from any commercial guarantees offered by the manufacturer, which are in addition to and do not replace your statutory rights.
