Personalisation
How we personalise your home
In plain words: what we use to decide the order of the products on your home page, and how you can change it. None of this touches the price — the price you see is the same for everyone.
What you do on LookOnYou
Only what you do on our own site counts, and only if you gave us permission. From the strongest signal to the weakest:
- What you buy — the strongest signal
- What you add to the basket
- What you save to your wishlist
- The product pages you open
- The products you click
- What you search tells us what you are after, but on its own it lifts nothing
- What you send back pushes similar products down
What is going on in your country
New arrivals, best sellers and trends in the country you browse from. We use the country for the right language, delivery and assortment: it is not a profile, and your IP address is never used to work out who you are.
Available in your size
All else being equal, a product available in the size you usually pick comes first. A sold-out product is not shown at all.
When two products tie
When two products are essentially level, we show first the one with the better margin or promotion for us. It is the last criterion, never the first — and we would rather say so.
What we never do
No personalised prices. No personalisation from the basket onwards. No data collected on other sites. No profile built on your IP address. No guesses about age, health, opinions or other sensitive categories.
How to change it
- Add or remove products from your wishlist: it is the quickest way to tell us what you like.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time from the privacy settings of your account.
Home personalisation
With the switch off you see the same home as a first-time visitor: new arrivals, trends in your country, best sellers and sale. It stays full — it simply stops being about you.
You are seeing the non-personalised home.
Turning it on needs your consent: flipping the switch gives it, and you can take it back whenever you like.
